I am totally tired out!
My mind is now so full of information, I am going into overload soon! (Note to self, remember what was said about information overload.)
It’s been fun. Because I was a little late today, I could not find Atul and had to pick another seat. What a strange coincidence it was, then, that when I picked a new seat, I was sitting next to the very blogger whose blog caught my attention just before I slept the previous night!

Jackie Chew, from CashBrew.com.
Check his blog out at http://www.cashbrew.com/blog/. mybloglog really works… That was how I came to his site from exploring around.
Worked on a couple of cool stuff today. Affiliate Marketing had been drilled into our heads again and again. It seems that is the easiest thing to start on right now.
Met two cool guys and we formed up a team to work on some of the action items today.

Meet Dexter, Kelvin and me.
In a fairly short time, we set up a marketing genius blog .
We moved into the Sales Process and how to capture our list from a Sales Funnel. Familiar? For those of us from Robert G. Allen’s Millionaire Matrix, we have heard about that before. In fact, that was the very thing that got me attracted to Internet Marketing in the first place.
Two of the most valuable things I learnt today, if I must sum it up is the Empty Box Principle by Jaz Lai, and Blog360.
- The Empty Box Principle is very easy, and explains why budding Internet Marketers like me fail. I shall elaborate about this further next time.
- What really blew my mind was Blog360, a weblog package filled with plugins and scripts, all optimized to help a marketer really save time. The tagline is “Push Button Easy”. The target is to make things really push button, easy. The idea is that after creating content on his blog, a blogger would be able to automatically submit his content on ALL the social content sites by “pushing a button”. Great right? Well, the only thing is that making that button work takes a while, and i am sure I am not the only one who faced difficulties today.
Anyhow, I will be doing a video guide for setting up Blog360 beta for myself and whoever wants to know. I don’t think I should share this wonderful package, because they haven’t launched it yet, and we promised not to. I hope my video does not violate any copyrights though. I know, I know, I sorta promised a couple of people I will do it tonight… but I am too tired, man… I need to absorb my information… in bed!

What a great day! I just completed my first homework assignment for today.
First day was about understanding our brains, and some teasers for the things that will follow. The first assignment for today was doing market research, getting a topic, and finding 3 products for the chosen topic at clickbank. Stephen promised that we would work on marketing these products through the course of the program.
So part 1 sounds easy?? It was not for me!
Even after getting the technical part of registering for accounts were done, you really have to use your brain for the creation of opportunities from the material you have. Do you have any problems with the technical parts? If you do, drop me a comment, and I will try to record it into a short clip for you.
In order for me to get started, I required 3 things. Stephen mentioned 2 of them :-
1. Topic (Keywords)
2. Ready Products (Affiliate Products)
For me, I wanted to be ready for next step. I wanted to think of scaleability.
3. Information
So what did I do?
1. Perform marketing research to find some topics that I suspect will have products readily available.
For this, you have to put a little imaginiation in. What are the people really searching for when they type certain phrases?
For example, when someone searches for Paris Hilton… what are they looking for? A novel by Paris Hilton? I think not.
Primarily, the site I go to is www.google.com/press/zeitgeist.html
Narrow down to 3-5 topics.
2. Search for the products at clickbank.com.
3. Filter out some of the topics which I do not find and products for.
Left with 1-3 topics.
4. Perform a search at overture for a list of phrases that were searched with chosen keywords.
5. Go to google.com, search through some of the phrases to get an understanding of competition and the products they have.
Also watch for adsense. How many ads are shown for those phrases?
I am greedy, so I look for those with 3 or less ads.
6. Check if I have information on these topics already. (In this particular case, I was looking at the free articles that Stephen provided to us at the beginning of the program.)
This last part is to ensure that I have enough information to form the meat of my page, or my autoresponder campaign.

Just completed the prework that comes with the seminar. There were some further updates, with a zipped file of Wordpress + plugins to download.
Phew… quite a bit to complete. Tried to unzip on a subdomain of a domain I already own. (Trying to cut cost first.) But that didn’t work. I don’t understand php enough to figure out what went wrong with the codes, so I signed up for another domain with godaddy, and bluehost for webhosting again. Argh! It still does not work!
It’s so far been a very interesting ride. Collecting information… collecting information. I will eventually get there! Then I will begin sharing what I have learnt! So you have to be very patient with me.
Up next… UYMG Day 1.
See ya tomorrow!
